Excerpt from the symphonic poem The Moldau (Vltava) by Bedrich Smetana (1824-1884). This work is an attempt to portray in music the Moldau River which flows through the Czech Republic. Czech's know the river by the name Vltava - the Moldau is a German translation. Our recording is a 6 minute excerpt which features the famous main theme or river theme.
