Movement 3 (Andante) Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 83 by Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897). Traditionally the slow movement of a symphony or concerto is the second movement. In this Piano Concerto, Brahms uses the third movement as his slow, lyrical movement. Beautiful writing here for piano and orchestra.

Mvt 3, Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major is part of the The Symphonic Brahms Volume 3 CD collection
This volume features two of Brahms' greatest concertos. The Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major has been called a symphony for piano and orchestra because its scope is so extensive. The second concerto on this disc, Brahms' Violin Concerto in D Major is one of the most challenging works in the violin repertoire. We are proud to offer complete recordings of both works.
