Allegro con brio, Mov't 1 from Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55 (Eroica) by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). Year Published: 1805, Beethoven originally dedicated this symphony to Napoleon Bonaparte but later when Bonaparte named himself Emperor, Beethoven angrily crossed out his dedication. He instead named the symphony the Eroica (Hero).
