The Great Mass In C Minor - One of Mozart's greatest works for choir and orchestra

You can hear the influence of both Bach and Handel in Mozart's Great Mass In C Minor. Like Mozart's Requiem Mass, this work was never finished. It is missing its Agnus Dei movement however it is still one of Mozart's most beloved and most performed compositions. Unlike most of his works, the Great Mass was not commissioned. Mozart wrote it for his own pleasure to celebrate his recent marriage to Constanze Weber. Constanze, a soprano, probably performed one of the soprano parts at the first performance in 1783.
