The addictive rhythmic vitality of so much of Antonio Vivaldi's music has led to its rebirth and great popularity amongst classical music scholars and the general public as well.
Much like the music of today, Vivaldi's Allegros have a driving beat and are brimming with energy. Melodies are simple, and easy to listen to. The slow movement Adagios evoke a warm and beautiful sensibility.

Used as underscore, these tracks provide a wide pallet of moods ranging from upbeat and joyful to dirge-like and sorrowful.
There is also lots of moderate, refreshing, not-to-distracting, very pleasurable music here which is great for use anywhere where you might want to lift spirits or just have someone relax (as in music-on-hold for instance).
In fact we believe these two volumes contain some of the most cheerful and enjoyable recordings in our entire library.
It's hard to believe today, but Vivaldi's music had fallen into obscurity by the end of his lifetime and remained so until just after World War 2. Since then, it's popularity has exploded. The concertos presented within these 2 volumes are now regularly performed concert pieces.
