Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25, by Pablo de Sarasate (1844-1908). Composed in 1883, this piece uses famous melodies from Bizet's opera Carmen. As with most of Sarastate's music, the piece is a virtuosic display of violin technique. The piece evokes a thrilling and upbeat mood.
